The gain was auto-scaled up to 400+, that's why the image is rather noisy

*** The video is made of 350 neighbour shots. 10 ten mins before the flight through I managed to find the only visible star for me, Capella. I forgot to take off the blend in a hurry, and it was rather windy. I think I could increase the running next time ***

Amazing to see Kevin and even more stunning considering you haven’t used a mount with an integrated satellite tracking routine.

I saw it with my eyes when it had an altitude of 30 deg. The capturing happened when the ISS reached 48 deg.

Guess you used some satellite tracking software for the tracking (forgot the same of the program) or was it manually - what would be absolutely amazing?

Would it even be possible to track the ISS manually? The Celestron 8" XLT has a focal length of 2032mm!

In fact yes, but people who do it manually normally use Dobsonians for it and tracking it with a very well aligned finder scope.
