I found an interesting article in my feed (Science) this morning, and thought I could share with the forum. Nice history and description of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), whose launch is imminent. Hope you enjoy it. Kind regards, Ian |

Very nice Ian, thank you. Here is more information. This is the official Webb Telescope site link. https://webbtelescope.org/. The site explains just about every detail of the existence of the Telescope with quick facts, lots of videos, in depth articles and links. Here is the official NASA webpage link. https://jwst.nasa.gov/content/webbLaunch/index.html The site is easy to navigate and contains a wealth of information about the entire Webb project including launch countdown, latest images, news articles, time lines of Webb specific events and specific details regarding the launch. The "what you need to know" page is very cool especially the deployment page. This is a link to the JWT page of the official NASA site which by itself is fantastic. https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/webb/main/index.html Lots of fun! scott |

Thanks Ian! I am looking forward very much to what the JSWT will discover. The Hubble is just an amazing wonder of human accomplishment and its discoveries are unmeasurable. |

Launch is currently planned for 22nd of December, I am thrilled, hopefully all the moving parts will deploy correctly in the space. We all have been waiting it for years. If I remember well, the initial launch date was planned to be in 2018, and then was repeatedly postponed. |
