#astrophotography

Hello And Welcome. I'm new at photography and I'm partly interested in astrophotography. The thing I wanna ask is that in about to invest in a Canon camera which is DSLR. And I'm wanna ask that is the Canon EOS 2000d has good image quality. I heard things that say it's probably heavier than the Eos 250d but the 250d is lighter. But a friend said the 2000d would be a better option to buy. So besides this question, I wanna know as well, is there any objective for the 2000d that is cheaper?

Hi,

It is an entry level camera which is fine for beginners. Its compact and light and I always liked to use it.

Astro-wise I liked it very much, because for a Canon DSLR it had very low read noise und low dark current which made nice pictures possible. You can check my profile and see what you can achieve with DSLR stacks and processing. My 2000d was astromodified.

Regards

Hi, I also use a Canon 2000D (modified) and am very happy with the results. I've used it with a 6" Newtonian, an RC6 and several camera lens. It has fairly low noise for a DSLR and better QE (Quantum efficiency) than other DSLRs. You can check out my images here. All that being said, I'm in the process of going to the next level with a  dedicated astro camera.
CLEAR SKIES!

I use an astro-modified (h-alpha filter removal) Canon EOS 1100D with my Celestron 8SCT. The mod was only about $150 and it made a huge difference! Check out my orion images.
