I hope this is the correct forum to post this but I've been having some issues with stacking in Registax so I thought I'd go and reinstall the software and see if it will fix the problem. I went to the download page and clicked on the download link and nothing happens on any of the links. Is there some other place to download the software? Dale Here is the link I have been going to: https://www.astronomie.be/registax/download.html |

I don't use Registax, but out of curiosity, I tried to download it anyways. On Firefox, I get a security warning that the download is offered over HTTP even though the "current document" (web page) is offered through HTTPS. It also says that the file was not downloaded, but when I checked my Downloads folder, the file is there. Check your Downloads folder or consider using another program such as Siril. |

Steven Fanutti: Thanks Steven, I've looked in my downloads and nothing ever come in. You did give me another idea I'll try to download it with a different browser and see if that works. I don't believe that Siril can stack lunar images??? Dale |

Dale Penkala:Steven Fanutti: I use Siril for solar, but I am stacking DSLR images (not video). For alignment, I use "Image Pattern Alignment (planetary - full disk)" in the Registration tab. But there are other options as well. Here's my latest solar image stacked in Siril. In the Conversion tab, I check the "Debayer" box. The Sun - May 09, 2024 |

Steven Fanutti:Dale Penkala:Steven Fanutti: Thanks, Steven, for the info! I just was able to download it using Microsoft Edge, so evidently it's a Google Chrome thing. Anyway, I wasn't aware that Siril had that option. I'll have to look into it more now. Thanks for the help and info! Dale |

Dale Penkala:Steven Fanutti:Dale Penkala:Steven Fanutti: I have been in contact with Cor from Registax and it looks like the software is what it is. I’m not able to stack multiple lunar images in it now so it looks more like I need to take longer video’s and process them using as many good frames as possible now. Its a bummer because I’d prefer to continue doing what I’m doing. On a side note the cool thing is they are working on a Beta version of WaveSharp that I downloaded and holy molly I really like the results on it. I may go back and reprocess some of my past data with it and give this new software a go. Dale |

You need to save Registax for its superb Wavelets function and switch to AutoStakkert 3 or 4 for the stacking procedure. https://www.autostakkert.com/ |

Hi Dale, I agree with @Steve Ward on using AutoStakkert for stacking and Registax for the wavelets. It's a nice combo for stacking and processing Solar and Lunar data. If you have any more software loading problems, I would be happy to share my software with you if I have the versions you need. Good Luck! Eddie |

Steve Ward: Thank you Steve, yes thats what I use for processing my SER files is AutoStakertt but I’ve found a better wavelet sharpening program at least I feel its better then Registax’s wavelets, called WaveSharp. Its actually on Registax website. http://www.astronomie.be/registax/download.html Dale |

Seems to be something wrong with link. Try this one http://www.astronomie.be/registax/setupregistax6.exe and choose "save as" with right mouse button. |

Andrew Malc: Thanks Andrew, I was able to get it to download but I had to use Microsoft Edge instead of Google Chrome to get it to download. Dale |
