I will be there on the Saturday - so feel free to catch up (I'll be under the clock wearing a yellow rose).  Seriously though if you are there and would like to say hi to me or anyone else here is a place you can arrange.

I am planning to go on Saturday 15th, all things being equal.  It's a long drive from south Devon (!) but would hope to get there 10am-ish for coffee & a chat.

Shall we meet up at 11am in the cafe area then - anyone there who wants to say Hi can come and join us.

I'm hoping to go on the Saturday.  I just have a couple of things to rearrange work-wise.  I have never been to any sort of Astronomy Show before.  So - excuse my ignorance - but, if anyone has a moment, perhaps they could let me know what to expect.  Do folks generally sign up for the talks, or do they go primarily for the "shopping" experience?

Sounds like a good plan - see you there

They are good especially if you are interested in buying anything plus if there are lectures you are interested in you have that as well. Also it can be good to meet fellow astro friends.

Hi All - I can not get to show at planned time - will be there around by 1pm latest.  If you fancy a catch up i will head to the cafe area around that time. If you fancy a chat let me know so i know to look out for you or we can establish a way of at least recognising each other.  Cheers all - Paddy

Thanks for the update Paddy.  My wife and I are planning to go to the show and will be there from early morn.  I am easy to recognize.  I look identical to my avatar.

Never been before, Paddy but should be there on Sarurday.  Two questions.  Is there only one cafe?  What do you look like?

I think so to the left on way into the trading hall.  How about i keep it simple and i will put a bit of A4 paper on the table with Paddy written on it - avoid any confusion that way  8)

Don't like it Paddy - too obvious.  We could adapt the exchange used in 'From Russia With Love' ....

A: 'Can I borrow a (match) Skywatcher ED80?'
B: 'I use a (lighter) Williams Optics Star 71'
A: 'That's better still'
B: 'Until they go wrong'
A: 'Exactly'

I always fluff my lines so a non-starter.
Better option than my first thought of wearing something recognisable - apparently the mankini is in the wash!
