Morning guys,
Have just taken out the free membership, I'll soon enrol and join the group properly.

My initial reason for joining Astrobin is that I want to use it as a means of displaying full resolution pictures on an astronomy forum I'ma regular at ..the East Midlands Stargazers.. www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk

Up to now I have used Flickr, which has it's limits, but have been aware of astrobin, and want to use it's much better presentation. Also really impressed by the plate solving aspects which show your image and where it is in the cosmos!

So last week I posted a picture "Sadr and the Gamma Cygni Nebula", I realised afterwards that I had posted it as a low resolution 2400 x 1600 approx. So yesterday I posted a higher resolution picture under a similar title, something like the smae but with "Higher resolution" or the like attached. A mate had said I should try posting as a .PNG file, so I tried that.

1) I can't see this picture in my gallery. I'm aware that there is a "Staging Area", but not sure how to find it, and not sure whether the picture will automatically progress into my gallery or not.

2)Does the plate solving /showing your pictures position work when I'm a free member, or do I have to join before I see that. If I should be able to see it now, maybe I haven't set up a pixel scale somehwere?

3)How do I post in my forum so that I can allow users of that forum to see my image full resolution. Do I go to the "Full Resolution" view on Astrobin, right click on the image, copy a link or something like that?

Thanks for your patience..
Dave
