Hey APs! Thanks for sharing your images. I have learnt a lot from you. I continue to post my AP images here because I believe this community is beneficial to all of us. One thing I would like to see more often is members posting their acquisition details. I often see awesome captures that I wish to learn from but I can not find any acquisition data. I agree, One of the most significant benefits of this platform is the ability to compare other setups with your own and to observe the level of detail associated with the various exposure times and combinations with filters. To realize the full potential to the amateur community, all of us should endeavor to make sure we submit the acquisition data of at least the totality of the frames if not individually divided up in the advanced tab. If we don't do this, the platform shifts into the realm of a platform for the expression of vanity and popularity. Neither of which I care to participate in. |

It is a pain in the you know what to upload the acquisition data, and sometimes I really don't want to, but I know how valuable it is to others so I do so in the spirit of cooperation and to benefit the group. One thing that might help is to have some sort of functionality, which allows you to copy the basic filter and times, so you just have to edit it. Thank you for your service. I just noticed that you have a 12" RC GSO Truss. I just purchased the same for mounting on my AP-1600. I now have an additional reason besides, complaining, whining, and asking for you do do more stuff for us at a paupers fee, to look at your web page. Hopefully you love your scope. I will soon see how it works for me. I am excited. Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again. |
