I would like to share, in my name and, i'm sure, the whole community of Astrobin, all our thoughts and support to the people of the East Coast of the United States and the Bahamas, and wish you many courage to face Hurricane Dorian, and especially to all the people who must be evacuated from their homes.
we hope that you can resume a normal life as soon as possible, as well as your favorite activity.

+1, from a typhoon-prone region, all of you take best care, please!

I am on the Virginia East Coast and will only get Tropical Storm winds and rain not the hard stuff (I hope). Dorian did mess up my planned vacation this weekend to one of Virginia's State park, this one being an International Dark Sky Park  smile

I have several friends who are riding it out in Charleston, SC.  I think this will be an okay storm, no direct hit other than the people of the Bahamas, that breaks my heart.  For the future…. fair winds and dark skies!

We had excellent surf in Florida today, I’m so sore. The Bahamas got destroyed tho, very sad. We had major erosion and lots of homes fell into the Atlantic today in FL.

FL East Coast overall got lucky that Dorian stayed offshore. The entire state was freaking out but mostly breathed a sigh of relief in the end!
