Hi, I have been the owner of a telescope for 9 years now (a birthday present for surviving to 50!) Have to say it saw little use in the first 7 to 8 years of living in the garage. However, once I hooked up my DSLR to the scope and got that first image of M81/M82 that was it. It has been a relatively quick and pricey journey for the past 18 months or so. I now feel that perhaps, just perhaps, the time is right to begin sharing my development. I image from Bortle 6/7 skies with views open to the north looking over the city centre. THanks!

Hi Rob, I did not attend any of the meetings. Fortunately/unfortunately Astrophotography is an ideal hobby for a person like me. Sharing on Astrobin is about as socially active as I get.

Welcome Paul, glad to see that scope getting some use!Kevin

Hi Kevin, scope is packed away for the next month or so as I am in the zone of perpetual daylight-twilight, or os it seems. Counting the days until I get some astronomical darkness!

I know the feeling.  Here in Oregon, we currently have Astronomical night from 11:45pm to 2:45am.  And we are just getting out of the overcast months.  We are at 45 degrees which I think may be 10 degrees lower than you?  Friends never understand when I lament the long days…
