Hi, I'm Gabriel from Mallorca Island, in Spain. I'm quite new to the astrophotography hobby, although I'd tried to see through a telescope (a pretty little one) years ago with no more success than seeing the moon... nor planets, nor photos. In fact, the friend who let me the telescope did not really know how to use it, and he let me the telescope while he went abroad, so I desisted after a few tries and returned the telescope to its owner. As I was pretty sure that a bigger telescope was out of my range, I really did not make any search. Then, it was early this year when we went to stargaze with some friends (one of them has a 10" Dobson Telescope) and I was really amazed how clear, and relatively easy, you could see the nightsky through it. We were talking about astronomy, astrophotography (he knows I'm interested in photography) and price ranges, and then I began to make some research. I was really stunned by the quality of the images than "normal people" were taking, so I decided to begin my journey in this hobby, and I can not regret the way. I know I'm a begginer and I still have many things to learn, so much more in astronomy. The thing is I love to learn new things, so I'll do my best. |

Guillermo Gonzalez: Hi Guillermo, Very kind of yourself, thanks for your words! I'm really happy with the outcome in this image. It's not really mi first image taken, but my second "finished" image (I forgot to post my first one, cos it was a present, but I'll fix that) and about my 8th attempt so far. I was shooting with a DSLR at first while tuning and get used to the equipement, softwares, techniques and gathering new pieces, and still doing so far. It's an amazing world and I hope to learn and get inspired by all the incredible work here. Saludos |
