Hello everyone, I would like to know if any of you have a collar compatible with Samyang / Rokinon 135mm F2.0 ED.
The point is, my camera is a Sony A6000 which has a lightweight build and attaching the setup to the mount through camera gives too much tension to the lens mount on the camera. For now I am interchanging the rings of my finder scope but having a dedicated collar for the lens would be better.
Thanks for your help.

I was able to purchase a cheap off brand version of the collar that fits the canon 70-300L.
If the link works... DSLRKIT Tripod Collar Mount Ring C (WII) for Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6L https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0077XIY06/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_rnWJAbQSYNMZX
This will fit perfectly around the front of the lens near the hood. That said, I have been able to completely manage the tilt so far. It’s a beast to control.

Yes, I attach the camera (DSLR in this case) to a dovetail bar and support the front of the lens with this collar and attach it to the same bar. I have a mismatch in height between the two mounting surfaces, so I shim them appropriately, but it may be that this is a source of my problem. I may be applying some force to the camera/ lens interface.
One good option would be to do what some here are doing an d 3D print a two point attachment for the lens and let the camera only hang off the back.
Anyway it’s a problem for everyone and takes some work to properly square up the sensor to the lens. I can confirm that the tripod collar I linked to above does fit the front of the lens barrel. But I’m following this for other ideas!
good luck.

good luck. I see, thank you for sharing your experience Jason.
In my humble opinion, letting the device hanging on the back while attaching the lens only is the way to go. For now that's the way I do it and so far so good except being have to switch between the lens and guide scope depending which kit I'll use on next AP session.
Regards!

I agree. I am actually looking for a second collar that would work to fit the base of the lens barrel. These collars are fairly cost effective. Obviously if you have easy access to a 3D printer, the solution above looks like a good one.

If the price is higher than the store of designer, I'll buy it from him I guess.

Hi everyone, Due to logistics problems the 3d printed collar was not a possible choice for me however I bought something else and I believe this item deserves your attention as well.

For the E mount version, you can try the Novoflex ASTAT-nex tripod collar. A bit expensive, but very efficient!
