Hello everyone,

This is my first attempt at getting some critique here. I feel I've mastered the fundamental basics of my workflow to a point where I might ask some more accomplished folks for directions where I should try to improve...

I've been working on NGC 281, the Pacman Nebula. So Far, I've collected about 12 hours of exposure with my 6" RCT...

First of all, I think the roundness of the stars isn't quite spot on. I suspect that I may have some balance/autoguiding problem still in my setup. I also need to review the source material, maybe there are just enough frames there where guiding was messed up for this to show through after stacking (using kappa-sigma in DSS)

What do you think about color/color-balance. I have a hard time finding a good tradeoff between feeling like I've overdone it and thinking things are looking way too flat/dull. Same about sharpening. Is this too much?

Any other advice you might want to offer is greatly appreciated...

Thanks/CS
Lars
