Hi all,

I'm starting with solar photography and I'd like any feedback or suggestion to help me make good progress.

Here you have an example of my latest result with H-alpha: https://www.astrobin.com/zvlvc6/

I feel there is a lot of space for improvement, specially regarding the processing flow and skills, so any comments or suggestion would be very appreciated.

Thinking about ways to learn from more experienced astrophotographers I'd like to be able to compare my own results with what can be reached by other people working from the same video sources. I'm thinking in a kind of dedicated forum alike this one or a Processing Challenge, where given some AVI sources all participants could share their processing results  and the description of the process they followed.

Perhaps it's a crazy idea, but will really help me a lot, and maybe other newbies like me.

Obviously, AVI files can occupy a few gigabytes and they should not burden Astrobin's server(s), so the videos should be shared through other servers.

For instance, I've publicly shared the two AVI sources for my previous photo (corresponding to disc and limb) in case someone kindly share his own processing results in order to compare with my own photo and learn what can I improve:

Thank you!

Hi,

I only do DSLR full disk sunspot photography in the visual spectre. Only some days ago I stumbled upon ImPPG which offers very specific processing tools for the Sun lovers among us. Visit the linked github site for a pictured introduction and well made tutorial.

Good luck!
