Description

Here is VdB152 and surrounding dust structures in Cepheus. The nebulosity in this area is actually quite faint so f/2 helps.

The bird-head like structure to the right is VdB 152 (also known as Cederblad 201), a blue reflection nebula that glows atop of a dark Bok globule called Barnard 175. It is located about 1,400 light years-away from Earth. The red arc to the right is part of the supernova remnant SNR 110.3+11 and to the left of this near the bottom is planetary nebula Dengel-Hartl 5 (PK 111+11.1)

I collected this data last year and have now used the Star Xterminator filter in PS to get better control of my star fields. Using this approach I can bring out more nebulosity as I have a better controlled star field.
