Highlights

Starting from the upper side (North) we first see massive crater Plato, just below Mare Frigoris. Next to Plato we locate the impressive Mountain Arc at Mare Imbrium's eastern borders. The Arc consists of Montes Alpes (North), Montes Caucasus (East) and Montes Apenninus (South-East). Inside the Mountain Arc we distinguish four noticeable craters. The biggest of them is Archimedes, right of whom we locate Aristillus and Autolycus.

Right at the South-Western edge of the Mountain Arc (Montes Apenninus) we locate Eratosthenes - medium sized but remarkable deep- and right left of him Copernicus is visible among the shadows.

At the center, we locate three valleys, really close to each other - Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus, Alpetragius and Arzachel. On the southern part, lots of craters emerge, but the most impressive is Tycho - located at the South Western edge. Half of Tycho lies in shadow, because of it's depth. However the hill in the middle of the crater is clearly visible.
