Description

Apologies to all my Astrobin buddies for not being active on here for the last few months.

Finally managed to get out and image for the first time in months.

Took my wife and children up to a great vantage point to view comet Neowise and couldn’t resist returning the night after to image this amazing comet.

Privileged to have witnessed this amazing astronomical event and one my family and myself won’t ever forget.

This image is a stack of 15 x 60 second + 11 x 80 second subs all taken at ISO 800 using my HEQ5 Pro for guiding while plugged into my 12v car output as my power source.

All frames where manually stacked / aligned in Photoshop which was a first for me.

Very minimal processing with absolutely no colour correction.

Stacked the 60 second frames and saved. Stacked the 80 second frames and saved. Combined both saved images into one and then added the finishing touches in camera RAW.

Super thrilled with the result.
