Description

This is the last set of “moon in twilight” data that I’ve recorded. I used the same processing workflow as I did for the second twilight moon image, but this time I used full lucky capture to algorithmically pick the best 2 % from about 1000 images for stacking. The video was taken at 7:01 MST 0n 4/11/2020.

The group of three craters near the left edge of the bottom portion of the limb that sort of looks like Mickey Mouse ears consists of (top, then clockwise) Pitiscus, Vlacq and Hommel. A little further up the limb lies a group of craters that, with some imagination, almost looks like bunny ears; these craters are Brenner at the top, Metius to its right, Fabricius below Metius and the large walled plain Janssen at the top of which the three other craters lie.
