Description

The Pacman Nebula (NGC 281) is a large emission nebula appearing in the constellation Cassiopeia.   The nebula lies approximately 9,200 light years away and occupies 35 arcminutes of the apparent sky. It is also cataloged as IC 11 and Sharpless 184 (Sh2-184).  I tried doing extra stretching of OIII and in particular the SII regions as to not have the Ha overwhelm the object.  I'm not sure I accomplished that and after making about 4 versions of this DSO, I settled on this one.  I used StarXTerminator to create a star image of the Ha starfield but am not overly happy with it.  I don't like RGB stars in NB images as I think they add too much color, but I know most folks like using them.   Anyway, trying new techniques like the Dark Structure Enhance script along with LHE really makes the dark areas pop out.  Any constructive feedback is welcomed.
