Description

After months of exams and bad weather I finally got back to imaging!
The Helix Nebula NGC7293 is one of my favorite targets and my first ever image of a PN. At a distance of only 650ly it is the closest planetary nebula and thus also accessible to smaller focal lengths.

This object is quite difficult to image from Germany as it never rises above 22° from my backyard. I wanted to try it anyway and I'm quite happy with the result after ~17h of integration time.
