Description

It seems clear skies go hand in hand with a full moon .
Most repeated phrase last months in Western Europe ...
So I gave up (for this time) trying to bring forward the almost invisible dust trail in the dark lane westwards ( = Barnard 168) , black area going down in the picture.

The Cocoon Nebula is located in Cygnus , +/- 2.600 light years (800 pc +/-80) from us .
Although the nebula looks tiny and a bit lonely as there are only stars in the surroundings of this image , it seems to span a mind blowing 15 light years across.
IC 5146 is both a (blue) reflection and (red) emission nebula . Looks a 'peaceful' HII-region for a star to be born   .
