Description

One can't ignore the beauty of Andromeda, the nearest major galaxy to our own. Since I started imaging in Dec. 2018, I've been waiting for M31 to rise again this year (2019) so I can capture it with a wider FOV.

I may try a mosaic at some point, but for now, I have the extents partly contained. Shot in HaRGB, the bejeweled speckling of starbirth within HII regions of its outer rings is subtle yet evident. Furthermore, the bluish hues of the outer regions harbor the hot, young, massive stars interspersed with pockets of dust. The serene core with its swirls of dust juxtaposed with the active, vibrant outer edges makes M31 a wonderfully pleasing object to image.

I hope you enjoy...
