Description

This is a bicolor image of the emission nebulas in the Small Magellanic Cloud. The biggest nebula is NGC 346, a star-forming region about 200 light-years across.

From my location, this object is in the most light polluted part of the sky. I struggled to raise the signal-to-noise ratio in this image, adding more subframes, but had little success. Maybe my next step should be increasing the exposure time of each sub.
