Description

I tried imaging this guy with different camera and wide angle lens and all my attempts were simply a failure not to mention Michigan cold weather which sometime discourage you from going out and Orion was simply watching and laughing at me.

Well not any more, since I owned the Canon 6D and Rokinon 135mm setup and all the success that I got with it, I decided to give it a try once I get a clear sky.

The plan was to capture (3) panel mosaic of Orion’s Belt each panel is 60 subs 30sec each at ISO6400 and then carefully stitch them together to create a single image of the whole belt, the initial single subs aligned together looked very promising.

Equipment used: Canon 6D astro modified, Astronomik CLS clip filter, Rokinon 135mm at F/2.3, ZWO ASI290MM guide camera on QHY mini guide scope, iOptron SmartEQ Pro
