Description

I thought it would be fun to show just how amazing our Universe is. I settled on a group of galaxies called the Leo Cluster, one because it is super cool, and second and most important, I was up early enough (4:30AM) to be able to catch it before it rotated into the trees 🙂

.

This is part of the Leo Cluster and is about 330 Million LYs away, so the photon captured this morning are @ 330 Million years old, which is just amazing. I could only image part of the cluster as it is so big.

There are some 70 major galaxies in the group with NGC 3842 (in the middle of the image) being the brightest. Fun fact, NGC 3842 has the one of the Universe's larges black holes which is about 9.7 billion times the size of our Sun.

It is pretty easy to spot the larger galaxies, but some of the dimmer ones are hard to pick out, but almost all of the spots of light in the first image are galaxies!!! How cool is that!!!
