Description

The Rosette Nebula, also known as Caldwell 49, is a large emission nebula about 5,000 light years away from Earth. It lies in the Monoceros constellation, very close (from our perspective) to the Cone Nebula and contains NGC 2244, the star cluster at its centre.

I did not get as much data as I wanted, unexpected clouds on night 2 limited the fun. I was also still tweaking my new equipment, so the stars were not as I would have liked, due to backspacing.

Thank you for looking!
