Description

This is a nice cluster, IC 4499, magnitude 9.7, and within magnitudes that are reachable with backyard scopes, is the second closer to the south pole, there is another a bit closer (waiting for my tube jejeje). It is a bit hard due to light pollution, since is a bit low, and according to Wikipedia, it has some interesting features, its age is a bit a debate, something between 2-3 or 12 billion years. Hubble of course got a really nice image of it.

On the very top of the image, towards the right (midway between the centre and the right side corner), is possible to get a glance of ESO 8-7 galaxy.
