Description

The Fishhead Nebula (IC 1795) is a star-forming region found approximately 6,000 light years away in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It forms part of the Heart Nebula (IC 1805). Some see the nebula as resembling the head of a fish. Others are reminded of an altogether quite different object.

IC 1795 was photographed from my home observatory in the UK between 1 December 2019 and 18 January 2020.
