Description

I caught a lucky break in that the Large Magellanic Cloud does not rise above 10 degrees from the southern horizon at this observing site and is often obscured by a marine layer, but on this very rare and special night for about an hour, everything cleared up just long enough to capture this session.

Given the limited time available I'm pleased with the result. It's a target I never expected to capture without heading much farther south someday.
