Description

The emission nebulae IC417 (The Spider) and NGC 1931 (The Fly) is located in Auriga. As is often the case in star forming regions lioke this there are several open clusters in the image, Stock 8 which is situated in the spider itself, NGC 1907 towards the left edge of the frame and also a hot young star cluster in NGC 1931 at the bottom of the frame. There are several reflection nebulae in the frame,in The Fly there's even a miniature Trapezium of four stars and embedded in the blueish haze around The Spider are dark nebulae like the LDN 1526. What the fuzzy ball towards the lower right corner of the frame is, I haven't found out. Can you guys help?

Title: Reprocessed with RC Astro tools

Description: The original was a total train wreck suffering from me trying to understand model building for the mount and totally failing. Amazingly the new tools in Pixinsight put me in a position to try to save it regardless of my original screw-up. Corrected the stars with BlurX, removed stars with StarX and blended Ha into both red channel and luminance. It looks more pleasing to me now, but then again that last version set a pretty low bar.
