Description

This is an SHO (Hubble pallet) view of the Tadpole nebula, and is the second light with my SVX152T.  It is about half a frame with the ASI6200, and has RGB stars.  The narrowband stars were removed, and replaced with RGB stars reduced a bit and blended in.  This represents about 28 hours total data, all shot from my Bortle 7 back yard, using an AP1100AE, ending 11/27/2022.

I cropped and rotated this to, for me, look a bit like an aquarium with the tadpoles swimming down into sea weed (ok, imagination is required). This was processed with pixinsight in a different fashion than I usually do, in this case using ColorCalibration on the narrow band rather than a straight combine with SCNR to shift out the greens. This yielded what to me are very nice colors, and especially since there were no stars to worry about, I went forward from there.

Overall I remain quite pleased with the amount of detail I'm getting from that 1200mm. While cropped out, the stars are sharp and round out to the corners of the full frame, and the detail rivals my SCT at 2800mm.  Stellarvue knows how to make optics, apparently. My SCT is getting very worried about its future!
