Description

I can't believe it. I managed to capture the Ghost Nebula from the city under the light polluted skies. I started this project just as an experiment without any expectations. For four nights I imaged this object while waiting for the Pleiades and then IC 405 to rise. Funny I don't have it in Sky Safari and managed to find it using the star HD 202986 which is right below the cloud. Didn't think to use its coordinates at that moment in time - lol.

I am very happy with the result - I can see the Ghost through my own telescope and right from my terrace. However the object is small for my focal length and resolution. And of course I need more data to tackle the noise. At the moment the plan is to add more integration time next summer Why not add the IRIS as well to the photo. Time will tell.

Another thing from the experiment is that I managed to take my first 10 minutes subs with the AVX and my system - my first try. Now I have to make darks for those
