Description

NGC 1560 is an 11 mag edge-on spiral galaxy approximately 10 million light-years away in Camelopardalis. It is almost 12 arc minutes long, but is pretty dim.

Date: Jan 2020

Location: Blue Mountain Vista Observatories,New Ringgold PA

Optics: Celestron EdgeHD 1100 on Paramount MX

Camera: Sbig STL-11000 for RGB

Optics: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm on Paramount ME

Camera: Apogee U8300 for Lum

Guiding: ST-402 on Innovations Foresight On-Axis Guider and STL-11000 Self guiding

Exposure: LRGB: L:58x10 R:36x4 min, G:33x4 min, B:38x5 min for a total of 17.34 hrs (165 subs at avg of 380 sec)

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
