Description

This object is a rarely imaged dim low surface brightness spiral galaxy located 40 million light years away in the constellation of Cetus at a declination of +1 degrees. The galaxy spans 4 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 50,000 light years.

This galaxy structure is very interesting. It looks like a distorted three-armed galaxy, with an offset core and an odd grouping of star clusters just above this core.
