Description

Despite appearances, this is a rather chaotic spiral galaxy with low surface brightness outer arms, but with an bright inner region full of star forming activity. Its "only" 15 million light years away, but appears fairly small because its only about 20,000 light years across.

It was a bit windy, so I was using only 1 second exposures during live stacking. More of the outer faint regions would have been observable with 2 to 3 second exposures. Maybe next time!
