Description

As you can see, a Full Spectrum DSLR is pretty bad for Astrophotography. Not proud of this, in fact i dont like this image at all.

If you browse my Gallery theres a pic of the same targets but before the cam was modified.

You will notice a red overcast in the whole image, which is the IR the sensor picked up. I have tried PixInsight with DBE, ABE, CC and SCNR to remove it. SCNR worked to a degree but removed too much nebulosity. Also tried PS but just cant get rid of the overcast without removing the Nebula behind the HH (IC434). And then you see the Stars... oh my god these Stars are UGLY. The mix of IR bloat and CA is crazy and since i suck at using/making star masks, they just get worse in processing.

Description: This one is with less agressive light pollution removal and is rotated 180°.
I just found out how to remove the red overcast easily in PS. Why did i not think about it before?!
I had to overstretch the RED channel only and then fix white balance with the camera raw tool. Kinda doesnt make sense to me but it works i guess.
