Description

I have been waiting since the 18th for a clear night to image this comet again, which is saying something for my desert location even in December. Anyhow, last night it cleared somewhat. I'm finding that its difficult to get a good image near the horizon even in a fairly dark area. There were a lot of low clouds and of course atmosphere. This image was a composite using 50 light frames and 15 darks, first processed in Starry Landscape Stacker, then StarTools, and finished in Luminar AI.
Nikon 180 lens set at F5.6 10sec frames, ISO 400.
BTW, I was able to barely see the comet with 7X35 binoculars, I have not been able to see it unaided, and Borrego Springs is pretty dark.
