Description

NGC 3190 Group. Discovered by William Herschel in 1784, this group lies at a distance of about 80 million light years. Not as famous as the Leo Trio, but very interesting, as this shows evidence of the gravitational distortion going on. Imaged remotely from New Mexico Skies with a 20" Planewave, shot at f 4.5. FLI PL11002M CCD camera. Field 36' x 54' (2672 x 4008 array). 90 minutes of integration: 6 x 5 min Lum, 4 x 5 min each for R, G, B. Imaged early March 2021, and processed in Pixinsight. Lots of very faint galaxies in the field.
