Description

I luckily had 2 clear nights to photograph the Western veil nebula, unfortunately even with a 250mm telescope I cant fit the whole thing in! I will continue photographing the other parts of the veil in an attempt to make a mosaic eventually, but I thought it was a good image to use the spacecat+Triad ultra and ASI533mc-pro on over the next few months, I will stop for a brief time on Andromeda as its just got to be done!

Fascinating for me is that this super nova remnant spans a huge portion of our sky and it increases to expand, as well as the whispy structures found in it are amauing.

I found it incredibly hard to avoid affecting the large star, and need to experiment more with star masks. Aside from that I didnt do an incredible amount of noise reduction as it affects the clarity of the structures and that probably gives it a bit more of a gritty look, but still a photography look and not an HD pic, I m a little undecided at the moment what I prefer and that may differ for some objects. Nevertheless, I appreciate any feedback on where I may be able to improve the image!
