Description

Image of the colliding galaxies NGC 1531 and NGC 1532 in the constellation Eridanus. 
NGC 1532 is a barred spiral galaxy seen edge-on. It has several dwarf companion galaxies and is clearly interacting with one of them, dwarf galaxy NGC 1531.

This LRGB-image was captured with the Planewave CDK24 telescope and FLI PL09000 camera from Telescope Live in El Sauce Observatory, Chile.

Total exposure time: 660 minutes.
LRGB 16:16:16:18 subs of 600s with each filter.

Processing with AstroPixelProcessor, Photoshop CC with AstroPanel Pro, Astronomy Tools, Topaz Sharpen AI and Denoise Projects 3 plug-ins.
