Description

This image features a seldom photographed nebula complex located at Lambda Orionis region. Barnard 30 is a star forming region at 1,300 light-years from Earth, where Herbig-Haro objects, brown dwarfs and T-Tauri stars can be found. Spitzer telescope shot this area back in 2007 and a brief summary can be found here: Young Stars Emerge from Orion's Head (caltech.edu).
Orion region is full of amazing objects, perhaps several of the most popular for astrophotography, but still there are a couple of hidden gems in the area which deserve a closer look, which I tried to to with this object. In it, dark clouds of organic molecules, bright regions of H-alpha and small reflection nebulas can be seen.

This photo is HaRGB, Ha taken in a Bortle 8 region with a mono camera and RGB taken in a Bortle 4 region, with an OSC, one night each. Ha is used to enhance the Red channed but also to improve luminance in selected areas.
