Description

Taking advantage of the rare clear nights this Fall here in Las Cruces, I imaged this unbarred spiral galaxy ngc7331 in LRGB.
This galaxy is about 60,000 ly across and about 39 million ly distant from Earth, located in the constellation Pegasus.  It is interesting that this galaxy looks similar to the Sunflower Galaxy M63.  The Deer Lick Group of galaxies resides in the background -- visually called the ngc7331 Group.

Imaged from the Sagrada Observatory, Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Telescope:  24"RC  Camera:  FLI-PL-09000  Gen-II Filters
