Description

This image is the sum of 51 180 secs unguided subs taken on the 12th september 2005 from my home terrace bortle 8 sky, with a modded Canon 300d, a Canon 70-200 F4 lens (brought at 70 FL), an idas LPS2 filter. On top of a Taka skypatrol.

Checking an old hd I have found many forgotten images. I have tried to reprocess this one  using modern software.

Stacking with DSS. Gradient removal (2 passes), crop, DDP, white balance, color curves, deconvultion with Astroart 8.

Gamma Cygni (γ Cygni, abbreviated Gamma Cyg, γ Cyg), officially named Sadr /ˈsædər/, is a star in the northern constellation of Cygnus, forming the intersection of an asterism of five stars called the Northern Cross. Based upon parallax measurements obtained during the Hipparcos mission, it is approximately 1,800 light-years (560 parsecs) from the Sun.

It forms the primary or 'A' component of a multiple star system designated WDS J20222+4015 (the secondary or 'BC' component is CCDM J20222+4015BC, a close pair of stars 40" away from γ Cygni). Wikipedia
