Description

Well, I started the imaging for this before I had my two weeks holiday. On the night I was due to board a plane, I knew I had to take my chance on that same night to get my OIII data. As that is so, I went to bed an hour later than my family, and got up 30 minutes earlier than they did, so I could achieve this! Needing to leave the house at 2 a.m., meant that I only got 3 hours sleep. I hear myself saying to myself, 'now that's commitment for you!' It is a good job that I did this, because whilst away, the weather was awful here anyway, and since I got back I have only had a bit of clear weather. I hope to process the 'wizard' soon which I took during this most recent period. At this time, we are under heavy cloud for the next foreseeable period and any further imaging is unlikely.

I took 70 Has, and 60 OIIIs, each at 4 minutes in length, exposure time. This equates to an imaging time of 8 hours and 40 minutes. The ability to bring out that deep blue from the OIII still eludes me, but I am happy with the image and its details.

Hope you are all well.

Simon
