After producing and posting the short animation of Jupiter yesterday, I realized I could apply my new movie skills to some data from last season, I´d previously posted a single image of this from the end of this sequence
https://astrob.in/23l6aw/0/This 4 hour sequence, condensed to 50 seconds in this animation, started at 20:27 UT on September 5, 2021 with Ganymede and Europa to the left and Io to the right of Jupiter. As Io disappears behind Jupiter, Europa begins its transit, as the GRS appears, and closely followed by Europa´s shadow. Io exits from behind, as GRS and Europas shadow end the sequence in the center of the planet. If you look carefully, you can see that for Io, its briefly in a partial eclipse as it leaves Jupiter. You can see the light level increase as it leaves the eclipse.
Apologies - It jumps in a few places where I missed 15-20 mins due to clouds and refocusing.
Revision B - Revision is a lower res GIF that should load quicker than the original
Revision C Frame rate slowed to 1 frame per sec - easier to follow the dance!
