Prove con OSC da cielo cittadino Bortle 7-8.

Dopo un lungo digiuno dovuto ad avverse condizioni meteo e a impegni lavorativi (ultima ripresa fatta ad Aprile) ho ricominciato a riprendere e a testare la ZWO ASI 533MC-PRO.

Per la Eastern Veil ho provato ad usare l'Optolog L-eNhance

Sono stato costretto ad usare un gain elevato perché il segnale era poco e non avevo molto tempo a disposizione (nè la possibilità di estendere la ripresa su più sere).

Oggetto già ripreso anni orsono con un ccd mono (ATIK414EX) e filtri Ha e OIII.

In effetti questa ripresa con il filtro Optolong assomiglia molto la bicolor che feci anni fa.

Tests with OSC from city skies Bortle 7-8.

After a long break due to adverse weather conditions and work commitments (last shot in April) I started shooting and testing the ZWO ASI 533MC-PRO.

I tried using the Optolog L-eNhance for this nebula.

I was forced to use a high gain because the signal was low and I didn't have much time available (nor the possibility of extending shooting over several evenings).

Object already shooted years ago with a mono ccd (ATIK414EX) and Ha and OIII filters.

Indeed this shot with the Optolong filter looks a lot like the bicolor I did years ago.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
