Description

We finally had a clear night last night, and I managed to snag an image of a starburst galaxy. It's located a chilly 12 million light years away from our planet and is better known as the Cigar Galaxy. A remarkable amount of detail presents itself to earthly sky watchers, with the galaxy's unusual appearance due to a huge amount of star formation happening about its core. Two hour integrated exposure taken with my C-14 telescope / ASI071 camera.
