Description

This was my primary project over the last new moon cycle, and I captured nearly 20 hours of moonless LRGB over 8 nights from my dark (Bortle 1/2) observatory site.

Even after 8 hours of luminance and 6 hours of color, I found the image noisy, and ended up shooting an additional 3 hours of lum and RGB each to round off the project. This object is FAINT!

What a gorgeous field, though, with rich milky way stars in the background and an interesting planetary nebula in the top right. I didn't have time to add narrowband to this field, but may revisit it during another imaging year to add Ha and Oiii.
