Description

Europa Transits Jupiter for just under an hour or so.

Workflow:

Same as my Saturn image. The tracking was done manually with slow-motion controls and the camera was in 1920x1080 mode with 3x digital zoom. The digital zoom mode increases resolution on a smaller section of the sensor allowing better detail when stacked. (Normal video mode skips pixels on the sensor to maintain framerate, Therefore reducing the resolution to the center effectively increases pixel density when in video mode). Each frame's stack size is ~1000 video frames and a 3x drizzle is applied.

This is the result of 12 frames, each created from 3 minute videos which were stabilized and cropped in PIPP and stacked and drizzled using AutoStakkert. Then batch Post-processing was done on the frames in Registax and Topaz DeNoise with final touches in GIMP. The animation was created by running the 12 resulting frames back through PIPP again, this time in animation mode.
