Description

This is a picture performed in collaboration with my friend Fabian Rodriguez who took 35 x 240s OSC exposures with its APO 115mm. Altogether this was over 15 hours of exposures we achieved together ! The result is especially interesting with its own process showing the galaxy in the full field of the APO115 (see version "original")

However, I found difficult to combine the OSC color with the mono color channels. I end up using PixelMath to perform straight addition of the 2 color images, using estimated coefficients.

Processing in PI

- Dark & Flat calibration of L, R, G, B & Ha channels

- Cosmetic Correction

- Registration

- Integration

- Mure Denoise

- Build RGB image using additional calibrated OSC data from Fabian

- Add Ha to R channel using PixelMath

- DBE L & RGB images

- MultiScaleMedianTransform denoise

- Delinearisation of L, Ha and RGB images using HT

- Extract a & b color channels from RGB image

- Combine L, a & b channels

- Color saturation (and desaturate bkg)

- TGV denoise

In Mac Photo : crop, deflip, levels, sharpness
