Description

I have imaged this nice target during 7 nights in August and September 2021, with a color camera and a dual band H-alfa and O-III filter, under a "white" suburban sky (18.8 mag/arcsec^2, as per 13 September midnight).

Visible in the lower left hand quadrant is the Planetary Nebula PN G 75.5+1.7.
The fascinating story of PN G 75.5+1.7 is that - due to its extreme faintness -  it could be discovered only in 2007-2008 by the amateur astronomer Dave Jurasevich and soon after independently reported by Keith. B. Quattrocchi and Mel Helm.

Its estimated diameter is 5 light years. It is distant 4000 ly from earth with an age of 22000 years.
